‘How to be a Nobody’
Call for experience. The forthcoming book, ‘How To Be A Nobody by…?’ will expound on the fallacy of status, how people have lost it, what it means if they gain it, how it relates to self-esteem and how the capitalist global market is dispossessing people who are having to resort to drastic measures to survive. The author, who at this stage wishes to remain anonymous, seeks brief examples of what it costs for a person to survive – in the UK or abroad – and how they continue to give despite the humblest circumstances.
The book also proposes how close we are to a realistic parallel non-monetary economy. One that enhances capitalism and eventually makes money redundant as an inept form of exchange, replaced by something every individual, worldwide, already has.
There is no budget and hence no fee, but your personal resourcefulness, especially if you feel worthless, will give hope and inspiration to others suffering lowly circumstances, to find dignity and value in themselves.
If you are the following: economic or political migrant/asylum seeker; former alcohol/drug-dependent now carer; have suffered extreme poverty yet cared for family; current or former sex worker; grandparent bringing up grandchild; working multiple jobs to provide on low earnings; suffered genuine homelessness; been volunteer despite personal loss; parented despite devastating mental or physical health… these are simply guidelines: basically the author is seeking anyone who has suffered the hopelessness of feeling they are nobody, last in the queue, ignored, deprived of support, lost everything to try and survive.
ALL ANONYMITY WILL BE PROTECTED.
Each respondent will receive a free e-book on completion. Those who appear in the book will be acknowledged and receive a personal hardcopy. Many thanks in advance. This is no exaggeration: you could help change the world, not by philosophy or heroism but simply by what you did with very little. You will see how key this is.
