Swallows and Amazons, the classic British film, will be introduced by original cast member Sophie Neville (Titty Walker, pictured, left). She’ll be sticking around to take part in a fantastic Question and Answer session after the film. A great family event to end a day of pirate madness! With kind support from the High Street Traders.
About the film
Arthur Ransome’s much-loved adventures of four children and their sailing boat Swallow; on holiday in the Lake District in 1929, the children are allowed to sail over to the nearby island and set up camp for a few days. They soon realise this has been the territory of two other girls who sail the Amazon, and the scene is set for serious rivalry.
