Hastings Easter Festival online
This year, the Hastings Easter Festival will be streaming over three evenings: Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday at 8pm, each for up to an hour with a range of music artists performing, writes HOT’s Vanessa Alves.
The Hastings Easter Festival has been running since 2017. Previously based at the Stade, this year the festival will be streamed online.
This year musicians include Triple O, a hip hop artist who will be headlining Saturday night and independent soul singer Inderpaul Sandhu, who was twice awarded Track of the Month for BBC London.
Regulars to the event include Feed ‘Em, a grime artist from London, and rapper Unique Creation. This year we are also including local talent including singer Hannah Latty.
There will also be local creative artworks displayed in an Easter exhibition, and interviews with some of the front-line local agencies during the pandemic.
The online event has been produced by local company South Coast Squared, and is sponsored by Hastings Youth Trust.
The festival organiser says: “We hope that, despite the restrictions, people can enjoy the music streamed to their homes this Easter weekend, and we will be back for a live event next year.”
You can watch the event at 8pm every evening, Friday to Sunday, streamed on the festival Facebook page or on YouTube via the festival website.
