Will you vote for Skeletons Out Of The Closet?
The team at the Craftimation Factory, based in St Leonards-on-Sea, are asking for your vote to help secure funding for the Skeletons Out Of The Closet project. Janey Moffatt writes.
Just a friendly reminder that if you haven’t voted for us yet on the
People’s Project site – we could win nearly £50,000 to spend on arts projects to
benefit Hastings and surrounding areas – it would be great if you could
take just a minute to do so. The deadline is 13 March at noon. The voting
process is really quick and the link is here.
The group has applied for £42,500 of funding for the Skeletons Out Of The Closet project. The funding would be used ‘to support people with mental health and wellbeing issues through stimulating and creative activities. The scheme will include writing, book-making and mask-making, helping people explore sensitive issues like death and low self-esteem. The work will be showcased at a public exhibition to educate people about mental health. The project will support people to talk about and tackle difficult issues while having fun, meeting new people and developing creative skills’.
Thank you so much for your support! You can read more about the project
at the People’s Project website page, when you click the link to vote, and also see the clip that was aired on ITV last week.
This means free arts activity for people in Hastings and paid work for
artists. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to get in touch.
