It’s a short walk from the Footbridge Gallery to the Heritage Bandstand on Bexhill seafront

Meet the Footbridge Gallery team at the Coronation Bandstand

Come and enjoy music at the Coronation Bandstand on Bexhill seafront and meet the Footbridge Gallery team on Saturday 6 July from 12 noon to 6pm. Bexhill Heritage have organized the afternoon and are pledging all proceeds to the Footbridge Project.

Bexhill residents plan to make the most of the lovely summer weather by sitting down and being entertained by local bands.

The line up:

12.15 the music starts with the Battle Ukelele Band

2pm continuing with the Bodiam Concert Band

4.30pm the Kukes

5.45pm The Other Band

There is also the chance to win prizes in the fabulous tombola, get a copy of the Footbridge spotting game and buy the latest Footbridge Gallery merchandise, including badges, panoramic photo cards of the first Gallery. Also on sale are cards by local artists and children’s books by local author and illustrator, Joan Thurgar.

Refreshments will be available at The Bathing Station.

The Footbridge Gallery 2.0 opened in October 2023 and is bigger and better than ever with more varied and wonderful art. The art on display won the attention of the public judges and the judging panel in the competition for local artists.

Congratulations to those whose work is on the current footbridge gallery. If you have not seen it yet, you can find it on the bridge that joins Devonshire Square (by the Post Office) to Station Road, Bexhill. There is a ramp both ends of the footbridge making it accessible to almost everyone.

The Footbridge Gallery event will be at the Heritage Bandstand on Bexhill seafront on Saturday 6 July from noon to 6pm. You can find out more by emailing
