Eye catching exhibitions from Zoom Arts
Established local arts group, Zoom Arts have two June exhibitions. A riot of colour arrives at Warrior Square Station, showcasing firstly the intricately eye-catching work of Christina Macadam and then the vibrant and patterned creations of two local artists Anthony Birch and Helen Wells.
Soul Plan Mandalas
An exhibition of paintings by Christina Macadam, who creates beautifully intricate Mandala paintings inspired by Blue Marsden’s book, Soul Plan – Reconnect with Your True Life Purpose.
For every mandala commission undertaken between 13 and 27 June, Blue Marsden will provide a personalised summary of your individual Soul Plan, as depicted in the mandala, with healing affirmations personal to you.

Anthony Birch and Helen Wells
Anthony will be showcasing his Decametric art which explores ideas of symmetry, geometry and complimentary colours. Helen will be showing her Colour and Water watercolours inspired by the sea and local flora and fauna.
The exhibition runs from 21 – 26 June and is open every day between 11.00am– 4.00pm. The private view evening will be on Friday 24 June between 7.00 – 9.00. The artists will often be working in the gallery where all the work is for sale.

Painting by Anthony Birch
Anthony Birch
Anthony lives and works in Hastings. His art work explores colour, texture and pattern. He often mixes mediums such as ink and colour pencil to give his work a sense of vibrancy and the third dimension. Originally from Gateshead Anthony studied art at Newcastle College. He currently has an exhibition of his work at The Beacon in Hastings.

Helen Wells
An artist based in Hastings. Helen’s work is intricate and organic, depicting beautiful illusionary surfaces or landscapes. Her work is in private collections all over the world from America to New Zealand. In 2014 she co-won Winsor & Newton’s Watercolour Revolution competition which resulted in her painting being displayed in the Saatchi Gallery in London. She currently has an exhibition of her work at one of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants in London, The Narrow.

About Zoom Arts
Zoom Arts is an established local group which was first set up 10 years ago to encourage and give a platform to local, emerging artists and photographers to showcase their work.
Members work in a variety of media including sculpture, textiles, mixed media, ceramics, painting and drawing, printing, sound, film, installation, and a range of approaches to photography.
