Sussex police under fire as #Houmous1 has case dropped

Hastings Music Festival prepares for opening curtains

Hastings Music Festival has been captivating audiences for over 100 years! Every year, children and adults from four to 84 take to the stage to showcase their talent in Singing, Dancing, Speech, Mime & Drama, and Instrumental, all of which are marked by an adjudicator who is a specialist and an expert in the field. With hundreds of participants, it’s an exciting chance to build confidence and make memories. The festival’s Jenny Griffiths and Victoria Cole set the scene.

Campaigners take aim at East Sussex Pension Fund

Elections off as Sussex put on fast track to devolution

Sussex has been chosen to join the fast track to a mayoral authority, the county council elections due to be held in May postponed along the way. The news was welcomed by the East Sussex County Council leader Keith Glazier, and deplored by the Hastings Borough Council leader Julia Hilton. Nick Terdre reports graphics by Russell Hall.

Deep Time stories at Hastings Museum

Who knew that it was 200 years since the naming of a dinosaur known as Iguanodon? It was the second dinosaur ever to be named; the first being a Megalosaurus, yet the term dinosaur was not coined until 1842. Who knew? Certainly not HOT’s Lauris Morgan-Griffiths.
