Low quality Pier case awaits decision

In June the planning committee of Hastings Borough Council (HBC) approved a retrospective application for Listed Building Consent for fake olde plastic wobbly lampposts on Hastings Pier (case HS/LB/24/00047). Its twin for actual retrospective planning permission (case HS/FA/24/00046) remains undecided. Bernard McGinley remains unimpressed.

White Rock’s Chocolate Factory is a world of pure imagination

Hastings White Rock’s Learning and Participation department  present this year’s Summer Youth Project, Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. There are five performances on the main stage commencing with a gala night on Thursday 15 August and running until Saturday 17 August.

The return of the Hayloft Folk Club

50 years ago at the site of the current Cove Pub, there once lived a Folk Club. In the upstairs room at the Fairlight Cove Hotel, every Saturday evening from 1 December 1973, the Hayloft Folk Club would play host to many well-known folk artists of the day. Bill Pocock and Steve Green are excited to announce a revival of the Hayloft Folk Club.
