“WHAT DO WE WANT?” “CLIMATE ACTION!”
“WHAT DO WE WANT?”, shouts Leo. “CLIMATE ACTION!” shouts back the passionate crowd. “WHEN DO WE WANT IT?” “NOW!” HOT’s Zelly Restorick wholeheartedly marched alongside the peaceful Youth Strike 4 Climate.
The crowd of young strikers, many holding homemade placards (see below) united with their cross-generational supporters, from babes-in-arms to 90-year-old seasoned campaigners. Heart-warming. Inspirational.
Support v threats
Speaking to some of the young people, I discovered that some local schools / teachers / head teachers / parents are being incredibly supportive of the Youth Strike 4 Climate. Other local schools are threatening their pupils with fines of £200 plus three weekend detentions.
And why were they there?
