Huge boost to Xtrax

Hastings local charity, Xtrax Young People’s Centre, received huge boast this week from its new partners ‘The Community Shop’ in Ore with a donation of £1000.

” We have always supported local charities and good causes in Hastings and when we heard about the incredible work Xtrax does for the young people and their families we knew we had to help,” said Karen Ironside the manager at The Community Shop.

” Xtrax looks after so many young families who live in Ore and makes a real difference to the local community, that Xtrax and The Community Shop make a perfect match,” added deputy manager, Jan Witcchy.

Xtrax trusted mascot, Mufti the Monkey and young Xtrax volunteers, Lisa Stretten and Lora Duck, went along to be presented with the cheque. ” I want to say a huge thank you to all those people who shopped at The Community Shop and made this donation possible,” said Lisa Stretten.
