Hastings Covid-19 Community Support Hotline
Do you or does someone you know need help? Residents of Hastings and St Leonards, or their friends, family or carers, can now contact Hastings Borough Council on a special helpline: 01424 451019, open 9am – 5pm Monday-Thursday, Good Friday, Saturday (11 April) and Easter Monday from 10am – 4pm. HEART Website
Hastings Emergency Action Response Team – HEART – has been gearing up to help people self-isolating as a result of the Coronavirus crisis. It now has over 1000 registered volunteers across Hastings & St.Leonards, nearly 3000 members of its Facebook Group, and is already matching volunteers up with people needing help. Last week it launched its dedicated website where people can Ask for Help, Sign up as a Volunteer, and get lots more information about support and advice available: www.hastingsheart.com

Hastings Foodbank
Hastings Foodbank and the other social action projects run by King’s Church are still open! If you are facing financial hardship and need to be referred to the foodbank, or if you’re pregnant and in need and would like to be referred to Baby Basics, please contact Hastings Borough Council’s Covid-19 response number. Volunteer Befriending Scheme
Hastings Voluntary Action is has launched a new volunteer telephone befriending scheme – for any adults in the Hastings area. Southdown Community Connectors (Social Prescribing) 
The face to face service within surgeries is now closed as part of the Primary Care Action Plan, however staff are working remotely to communicate with and support existing clients with their mental wellbeing. They will work through the waiting list and continue to promote the service and accept new referrals as part of the effort to offer mental health support at this time.

Links Project Service Update
The Links Project drop-in is currently suspended.  We are able to offer telephone, email and other social media based support only.  There is also a limited capacity for face-to-face contact in exceptional or urgent circumstances.  In the first instance, please contact Marc Turczanski (Project Coordinator) on 01424 444010, 07752495508, marc@hastingsvoluntaryaction.org.uk 

Crowdfunder: Hastings Relief Fund
Several charities and community initiatives have responded rapidly to meet the needs of local people, for practical help and emotional support. The situation has changed quickly, and in some cases additional costs have been incurred in order to help people. Hastings Voluntary Action has been asked to set up a Hastings Relief Fund to receive donations and distribute them quickly to local organisations that are helping local people during this pandemic.
