Seeking inspirational musicians!
Local film-maker, musician and festival organiser Keith Rodway has been asked by the Citizens Advice Bureau to organise a benefit CD for their office in Hastings, Citizens Advice 1066, highlighting the amazingly diverse music scene here in Hastings and St Leonards and at the same time, supporting a charity who provide an incredibly valuable service to the local community, especially helping the more marginalised and disadvantaged individuals and families to keep their heads above the water. Zelly Restorick writes.
This initiative has been successful in Eastbourne and Keith has been asked to invite local musicians to contribute to a similar scheme in Hastings and St Leonards on Sea.
Citizens Advice 1066
Citizens Advice 1066 is a charity staffed mainly by hard-working, dedicated and committed volunteers, who offer a wide range of knowledge and experience. The service they provide is essential to this community, where many people need help with understanding the increasingly complicated bureaucratic procedures and systems – and dealing with the repercussions of the severe financial cuts this area has experienced.
With winter coming, Universal Credits being rolled out and uncertainty about the ramifications of Brexit, Citizens Advice 1066 will be under a LOT of pressure in the coming months.
Your musical contribution
Your song should be around 3 – 3.5 minutes long, professionally recorded and uplifting.
If you would like to contribute, please contact Keith via keith.rodway2@gmail.com.
Citizens Advice 1066 is based at Renaissance House on London Road in St Leonards-on-Sea.
