Queensway Gateway Road application

Do you have any opinions or feelings about the Queensway Gateway Road? The High Court recently ordered Hastings Borough Council to quash permission for the road on the grounds of unlawful levels of air pollution. Now the road is being once again put before the planning committee. HOT’s Zelly Restorick reports.

The application could be presented as soon 20 October 2015. You have the chance to say what you think. Even if you submitted a response to the previous planning application, you can now respond to this one.

According to the Combe Haven Defenders, they have experienced difficulties with accessing the planning pages of HBC’s website.

If you do, search for the planning application by reference number (HS/FA/14/00832) and click on ‘Make a public comment’.

What’s the point?

I know that when I spoke to local residents about the previous application and collected responses, many people said that it was pointless to respond, as the decision was a foregone conclusion. However, it’s important to believe that public opinion does matter and at least put the theory to the test.
