Where to begin?
Get a Life introduction
Want a life? Hastings not giving you enough? HOT Blogs can now help you out. Introducing our newest to HOT Blogs, comes Get a Life.
Get a Life was set up to become the newest source for careers guidance within the Hastings and St Leonards area. HOT’s very own Jessica Parker and Ben Wood set out to uncover the organisations and opportunities available within your area, so you can improve your working life.
The problem with being a young parent, stuck in a dead-end job or just not knowing what to get out of life, is usually down to lack of information. Sure there are loads of organisations, sites and publications trying to sell you that information, but do any actually follow through?
We aim to dig deep and find the best information for you, specifically look into part-time, work-from-home and night course options.
So if you want to get more out of life but don’t know how, follow our weekly updates – starting Friday 25 April under HOT Blogs – each discussing a new source. Our first being Hastings and St. Leonards Works.
Each week we’ll provide new links to various courses, their entry requirements, links to sites we feel might benefit you, their contact details, further support, and a list of opportunities these routes could open up. Whatever you want your future to be, we’ll be here to help.
Key areas Get a Life will cover include:
- Apprenticeships
- Work experience
- Entrepreneurships
- Vocational opportunities
- Degrees
- A-Levels
- Crash courses
- Student finance
- General finance
- Learning disabilities
- Mature courses
- and Student resources
