HAVE network: access for us all
HAVE (Hastings Access to Venues and Events) is a local group advocating for ‘disability access to all creative stuff’. They work to collaborate with all creatives, events and venues, requesting that they think about access for all disabled people: wheelchair users, visually/hearing impaired people, those with mobility issues, mental health issues, learning difficulties and who are neuro-diverse. Penny Pepper writes.
Not just as audience, but as creative participants and practitioners. All of us founder members of HAVE have run writing workshops and craft events, sing in choirs and organise events. And more.

We can also offer informal advice on access and actually have a few ramps to lend out: we do this for The Printworks and most recently advised for St Mary in the Castle.
We are into communication and ideas – not ranting (unless it’s due ie council toilets!).
Our current newsletter is fresh off the press and we’d love to share them out to spread the word and change the world.
And to engage and collaborate with you all: Diversity. Inclusion. All humanity.
Want a copy of the HAVE newsletter? Please ask for some! Available in town… and directly from me!
