Cooks sought for Channel 4 show

The Channel 4 programme Come Dine With Me is coming to the Hastings/ Bexhill / Rye / Hawkhurst / Battle and surrounding areas in February and the production team are “looking for brilliant people to take part” – like those in a past show pictured above.

If you’re not familiar with the programme, it involves getting five total strangers together to each host a dinner party throughout the course of the week. Each evening – the hospitality, food, entertainment and hosting skills – is then marked out of 10 and the overall winner will win the £1,000 prize money. The team would love to speak to you if you might be interested!

The shoot dates are 7–12 February 2016.

One local resident (wearing pink and red in the photograph) is keen to contend: “The following is my winning menu… I’m thinking of doing Pate du Fruits de Mer au pain for starters (fish paste on Mother’s Pride), followed by Oodle Noodles dans le plastique (Pot Noodle flavour of their choice), a Trio of Anges souffle (Angel Delight) in Chocolate, Banana and Butterscotch. With CherryB wine and a nice bottle of vintage Buckfast. And, of course, Babycham to celebrate my win with.”
