Gerry Potter – Poet

Gerry Potter, who is appearing at the Electric Palace Cinema in December, is a poet, director, actor, author of the hit play Miracle, and both creator and destroyer of the infamous, magnificent, scouse-socialist, gay transvestite, gingham-clad incarnation, Chloe Poems. A favourite son of both Manchester and his home town Liverpool. Gerry speaks honestly and openly about his life as a gay man, his losses, his loves and his burning desires. Gerry has appeared at Homotopia Festival and Latitude and is the author of Planet Young, Men Pomes and Planet Middle Age.

“Gerry Potter is a world-class performer at the height of his powers, delivering intelligent, humane and searching poetry that makes us all ask who we are and who we want to be.”
Jo Bell, director, National Poetry Day.

Gerry appears with fellow Liverpudlian John Knowles and the ever-witty Kate Tym. Expect an evening of passion, laughter and shared moments.

Gerry Potter Electric Palace Cinema, Wednesday 11 December, 8pm. Tickets £5.00 (on the door).
