Bugsy Malone. Thursday 11 – Saturday 13 August
The White Rock Theatre Summer Youth Project returns in 2022 for its 19th production. They’re back on the main stage with the unmissable production – Bugsy Malone. Based on the hit 1976 film and featuring a catchy, swinging score, Bugsy Malone is good, clean fun and a masterclass in musical comedy.
It is 1929 in New York and two gangs, comprised completely of children, square off in a 1920s rivalry of Capone-ian standards. In a final splurge gun and custard pie showdown, one hundred of Hastings and the surrounding area’s most talented young people aged 8-18 will ensure that this production is a sure-fire family treat! Oh What A Night! Friday 26 August
Oh What A Night! takes you back in time on a musical journey through the career of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. With a repertoire that needs no introduction, Oh What A Night! combines amazing vocals, slick harmonies and even slicker dance moves to deliver a show full of energy and nostalgia. From the Jam are celebrating Sound Affects, the 5th studio album by The Jam, by performing it in full plus more classics by The Jam. Sound Affects reached no. 2 in the UK charts and featured two of the band’s most-loved singles Start! and That’s Entertainment. From The Jam features the original Jam member, Bruce Foxton, along with Russell Hastings who will be performing all the Jam’s greatest hits. More info and tickets
