Hastings Theatre Festival Launch 2019
Hastings Fringe is thrilled to announce the launch of the 1st annual Hastings Theatre Festival in 2019. The Festival brings world-class theatre to Hastings and St Leonards on Sea and will take place from the 1 – 7 July in selected venues.
Hastings Theatre Festival is a new venture, supported by funding from Arts Council England and managed by Hastings Fringe Festival CIC. The Theatre Festival will present a curated programme of engaging stories with the aim of appealing to the diverse communities that make up Hastings and contribute to the vibrant social and cultural life of the town.
Heather Alexander, Artistic Director of Hastings Theatre Festival, said: “This is great news for Hastings. Thanks to support from Arts Council England, we can offer audiences a programme of world-class theatre that we hope will speak to the importance of the arts in Hastings – and in our society today.”
