Free summer Stade Saturdays
This Saturday, (June 11) heralds the first of the Free Summer Stade Saturdays, with a performance by Circus Geeks, presenting Project Vee at the Stade.
Stade Saturdays returns to Hastings with another packed programme of events throughout the summer season from June to October. It’s a series of FREE performances organised by Hastings Borough Council that take place at the Stade Open Space in the heart of Hastings Old Town.
Circus Geeks began as a blog about circus skills and has now transformed into an alternative performance company. This Saturday (11 June) Circus Geeks present Project Vee.
Cllr Dawn Poole the council’s lead member for culture explained: “We are really pleased to fund another Stade Saturdays programme for 2016. The events are all free to residents and visitors and there is always something for everyone in the fun packed scheduled.
“This weekend we will see Project Vee – a two person thirty minute outdoor spectacle. The show combines elements of classic street performance with unusual traditional circus inspired by a legendary Soviet circus act. Humans, steel, concrete and motors meet in the most unlikely ways as Project Vee takes juggling to a new centrifugal dimension!”
There will be two performances 7:30pm and 8:50pm at the Stade Open Space, Hastings.
Visit Stade Saturdays for the full programme or pick up the programme from the Tourist Information Centre.
