Be part of Hastings Fringe Festival 2016
Initial call-out for potential performers, artists and writers! Have you got an original act you want to perform? An idea for a show, a story to tell, poetry to slam or new art or writing you want to showcase? If so, we want to hear from you, says Ross Andrews-Clifford.
Hastings Fringe Festival 2016 is an independent non-profit initiative, running for four days from 1 to 4 September, happening in various venues and spaces across Hastings and St Leonards. This is a call-out for actors, artists, singers, musicians, poets, dancers, comedians, raconteurs, magicians, etc, to be part of this exciting celebration of culture and talent.
If you want to be part of it, join us at the First Floor Gallery at the Observer Building on Saturday 30 January at 2pm. If you can’t make this, we will be holding another meeting on Sunday 6 March at 2pm at The Stables theatre in the Old Town. This is your chance to tell us about your act/ideas for taking part; it would be great if you could perform or read a sample for us too, so that we can think about the best venue/space for your piece/project.
We will be accepting a broad range of quality original material, but we will have limited slots for acts so get there early and impress us!

Hi Ross, I shall be returning to live in Hastings in March/April after 17 yrs in Australia, having lived for the previous 20 in Hastings. I am a singer/songwriter/musician. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend either of the information sessions, for obvious reasons, but would love to be considered for possibly a standby situation, in the event of there being any acts that might not be able to fulfill their obligation. I have a number of musical collaborators, who all live in and around hastings, and am also able to perform as a solo act. I have got a few songs on Soundcloud if you should care to have a listen,
