Stage Left Project’s production of ‘Trouble in Tahiti’

‘Trouble in Tahiti’ returns to Hastings

Back in Hastings by popular demand! Following a successful three night run at the Kino Teatr in St Leonards in Autumn 2017, Stage Left Project have been asked to take their production of Bernstein’s ‘Trouble in Tahiti’ to the prestigious Bernstein in Chichester Festival in September 2018. The company will be reprising the production in Hastings before taking it to the home of the Chichester Psalms, written by Bernstein on a trip to the city in 1965.

Stage Left Project presents a live ormance of Leonard Bernstein’s one act opera, about the darker side of American suburbia, featuring Barbershop style arrangements of music from the era. The show starts with a musical introduction before the main feature.

Stage Left Project is a new Hastings based theatre company, whose aim is to bring opera and music-based theatre to a new audience through interactive, site sensitive productions. Expect plenty of playful interaction with performances reaching into the foyer and audiences experiencing a sensory, immersive evening out.

‘Trouble in Tahiti’ by Stage Left Project: The Printworks, Hastings. Sunday 9 September. Tickets £15. Under 12’s £5.
