The More You Ignore Me with Jo Brand
Hastings Rocks Film Festival is back 14, 15 and 16 April! This year we are screening no less than 60 short films and 6 feature-length ones. The festival programme is online here and tickets can be bought here. James Rowlins writes.
Many of the films are by Hastings-based filmmakers who will be thrilled to share their work with you. We also have – STOP PRESS! – the comedian, JO BRAND attending *in person*.

‘The More You Ignore Me’
Jo Brand grew up in Hastings and will no doubt have wonderful stories to share about her path to stardom following the screening of her deeply moving film The More You Ignore Me, showing at The Printworks.

Set in the 1980s, it is the story of a mentally ill matriarch of a dysfunctional family who finds a plan for happiness with the help of her Morrissey-mad daughter. The event ends with an 80s Morrissey medley by local troubadour, Jason McNiff.
