Friday Night Film Quiz – coming soon!

Gather your team for a free, fun and energetic quiz to help support your local independent cinema, the Electric Palace in Old Town, Hastings, on Friday 30 April, writes Dani Brown.

Need something new to do on a Friday night? Transport yourself to the plush, velvety decadence of the Electric Palace cinema as it presents for your entertainment a night of film-related frivolity.

Get your team together, or just challenge your own film knowledge, by taking part in its online film quiz via Zoom on Friday 30 April, starting at 8pm.

Excellent, generous prizes to be won, including an evening at Hastings Fringe Comedy Festival, tickets for the Electric Palace (plus prosecco for two), pizzas from Brewing Brothers at The Imperial and a cabaret night with Barbeau’s Batcave!

With lots of different genres covered, there will be a round to suit all cinematic tastes. Your hosts, Electric Palace staff Sean Hollebon, Jamie Sellers and Annie Waite, will be delighted to welcome you along the virtual red carpet!

A sneak peek

To be in with a chance of winning the prizes, perhaps you could swot up in advance? The team has revealed some of the rounds it plans to test you on:

  • Women filmmakers
  • Romcoms
  • Lockdown
  • Comedy films – with special guests!
  • Film posters

Other rounds will be revealed on the night. Good luck!

How to join the quiz

Send the Electric Palace your email address with ‘April Film Quiz’ in the subject line and they will send you a link to join the quiz on Zoom. (Don’t worry, you don’t have to be on camera to take part!)
