Family Fridays monthly after-school film screenings

Head along to the Electric Palace cinema to immerse your brood in the magic of cinema at a new series of monthly Friday afternoon screenings for all the family, says Annie Waite. All screenings include a special added extra with the ticket price.

Every last Friday of the month, start your weekend at Hastings’ quirkiest cinema with a bonanza of family fun on offer in Hastings Old Town.

Upcoming Family Fridays screenings at the Electric Palace cinema

The Electric Palace cinema this week begins with The Greatest Showman a fresh season of family film screenings that come with added activities to entertain children and adults alike. Enjoy art and craft activities, singalongs, live music or fancy dress, plus a film suitable for all ages – for just £5 for all tickets.

Screenings coming up:

  • The Greatest Showman – with singalong!
    Friday 29 September
    A huge family favourite to kick-start the series, with a rip-roaring singalong! Hugh Jackman and Michelle Williams star in this Oscar-winning musical that took the world by storm on its release in 2017, celebrating diversity and identity with the award-winning song, This is Me!
  • Coco – with Day of the Dead craft activities – dress spooky!
    Friday 27 October (during half-term holiday)
    Dress up for Halloween for this animation about aspiring musician Miguel who enters the Land of the Dead to find his great-great-grandfather, a legendary singer.
  • Sing – with live music performance
    Friday 24 November
    Dapper Koala Buster Moon presides over a once-grand theatre that has fallen on hard times, but he takes one final chance to restore his fading jewel to its former glory by producing the world’s greatest singing competition. Head along to belt out some cheery numbers!
  • Home Alone – 25th Anniversary screening with Christmas wrapping recycled art activity – dress Christmassy!
    Friday 22 December
    A perfect cheeky Christmas family favourite to set you up nicely with some Christmas cheer.

How to book for Family Fridays

Visit the Electric Palace cinema to book and then get down to the Old Town to the Electric Palace cinema at 39a High Street on the last Friday of the month, 4pm – 6pm. Doors open at 3.30pm for pre-film snacks and activities.
