Hastings Easter Festival Online
The Hastings Easter Festival was premiered online over the Easter weekend for the residents of Hastings and St Leonards to enjoy, writes HOT’s Vanessa Alves.
The festival started in 2017 in Hastings as a music festival for Easter Saturday with the main event held at the Stade, with additional creative stations and art exhibitions held in different locations in the town. However, with the current lockdown, the organisers decided to go ahead with the festival – with the help of Youtube instead.
With special thanks to South Coast Squared who helped to edit the festival, the event was also supported by Fresh Online, Hastings Card and with generous support from Kings Church 1066.
The organisor, Stever Waller shares: “We wanted to do an online event for this season of Easter, and while it was premiered over the Easter weekend, we hope this can now bring encouragement through this season of lockdown and can be watched anytime.”

Past festival goers
The event features up and coming rap artist, Unique Creation; followed by Inderpaul Sandhu who shares his single ‘Cold’ that has been play listed track of the month by BBC London. London rapper Feed’Em shares his new single ‘Sacrifice’ within his set.
Every artist featured personally encourages the residents of Hastings and St Leonards with a short message.
It also features spoken word from Darren Maylem, a short Easter message and the event is concluded with encouragement and details of where to go for help from the Mayor of Hastings, Nigel Sinden.
