Wood People Connective: ‘Favourite Trees’
This National Tree Week, the Wood People Connective offers you the opportunity to participate in their Online Tree Art Exhibition: “Favourite Trees”. Inspired by the wood wide web, they want us to maintain our connection with the trees and each other. Wood People Connective representative, Beccy McCray writes.
The images of the tree artwork are by Crafternoon Tea Club. The artwork is called ‘The Wick Woven Web’. Photography by Carmen de Wit.
While we cannot gather to plant and care for trees as we usually do, we are aiming to bring people together to celebrate trees by creating or sharing artwork. This could be any of the following: sculpture, installation, painting, drawing, photograph, poem, story, or even a song about your favourite tree or woodland. New or existing responses welcome. Open to all ages 🙂
Selected entries will be featured in the Wood People Connective‘s online gallery.

Wood People Connective: (L to R) Beccy, Mary, Ben, Luke, Nick and David
Wood People Connective aims to create new connections and celebrate the value of trees, timber and woodlands with the public through creative and experiential methods.
The Founder Members are all based in East Sussex – the home of the High Weald, one of the UK’s most wooded areas. The Founders all work in woods or with woods, and came together through their shared belief in the interconnectedness of people and nature.
We are officially a branch of the Tree Charter UK. The Tree Charter draws its strength from people and communities across the UK who stand up for trees.
