Beat the blues with a family activity day
Active Hastings has a recipe for beating the New Year blues – a family activity day at Summerfields Leisure Centre on Sunday 14 January, as they explain.
January can be a tough month. Christmas is a distant memory, the weather is cold and dark, money is tight and festive overindulgence has left you tired and sluggish. But you can beat the blues!
Active Hastings are holding a fun family activity day at Summerfields Leisure Centre, Bohemia Road, on Sunday 14 January. Taking part costs just £1 per person for the whole day (or £2 if you’d like to have a swim too).
Running from 10am to 4pm, activities include trampolining, children’s soft play, netball, football, bootcamp, pilates, yoga, ballet fit, a fitness rave, family circuits, spinning, arts and crafts, gym, Fighting Tigers and swimming.
All sessions are 45 minutes long, starting on the hour. Some classes will require booking on the day, and under 8s will need to be supervised by an adult.
“This is one of my favourite events of the year, seeing Summerfields full of families taking part in all the activities and all for a bargain £1,” said Cllr Andy Batsford, Hastings Borough Council’s lead member for leisure.
“It’s a real opportunity for the whole family to get fit and have a fun day out and start the new year in a really positive healthy way.”
