Scarecrows come to Old Town
As part of Old Town Week, there will be a scarecrow contest for children on the afternoon of Sunday 30 July organised by Lower Torfield Allotments.
Children should bring along their scarecrows along for judging at 2.30pm. The event, starting at noon, will form part of Allotment Open Day, with a family barbecue and picnic and garden raffle.
And there will be willow-weaving for children, with a small charge for materials.
The event takes place on the allotment site at the bottom of Old London Road. For more information contact Andrew Colquhoun on 01424 442546 or colquhounaj@aol.com
