Acclimatising musicians!

I am looking to set up a fortnightly ‘play’ with people who are ready & want to play with other musicians, but don’t necessarily feel comfortable going to jam at a pub yet! (It can’t be just me, can it?!!) Alison Cooper seeks souls with a desire to explore their musical aspirations.

What I envisage is a variety of players/singers turning up (not necessarily the same ones each time), having some improvisation time and some set songs we have already learned (to varying degrees) to play around with…. and just have fun – and get used to playing with others.

The cost of the rehearsal space would be dealt with by paying subs, probably amounting to about £3 each depending on how many people turn-up, of course. If we do a sub each time, it means that if on some weeks there are fewer people, the amount we have saved from previous sessions will cover that one. If people don’t mind, I think that’s an inclusive way of doing things.
