Win tickets to Berlin Circus at Glyne Gap!
The Continental Circus Berlin encompasses an amalgamation of brilliant circus acts, music and youthful energy, incorporating fantastic performers from all over the world. The show will be in town from the 28 July to 2 August at Glyne Gap. Asia Sawicka reports on behalf of the circus.
In an age where so much entertainment is unreal, made up of special effects, CGI, has a virtual reality or is pre-recorded, multi-tracked, digitally enhanced or in some other way electronically created – the sheer reality of a live show with live music is a breath of fresh air. The feats and skills seen at Continental Circus Berlin are often so amazing that the circus-goer literally cannot believe their eyes.
Housed in a climatically controlled theatre-style big top, this magical production is brimming with an international cast of mesmerizing artistes, packed full of comedy, astounding jugglers, breathtaking balancing acts, a trio of aerial beauties on a revolving structure high in the roof of the big top, a gyrating hula-hoop sensation, herculean hand balancing, a beautiful contortionist who fires an arrow from a bow with her feet – and the latest sensation, The Laser Man: you’ll see lightning bolts like lasers firing from all his fingers and completely engulfing the whole of the arena with sensational laser beams.
This animal-free circus is the finest show to come to town under the Continental Circus Berlin banner: this famous name has always been a guarantee of a great show, a rare treat, great fun, offering something for all ages.

My son taught himself to juggle and unicycle as a teenager and I know the hours of practice he put in so I really appreciate the skills of these modern day circus performers.I think circus is on a par with Olympic athletes for dedication and effort.
