Autism awareness event
The Roebuck Centre in Hastings Old Town is holding an open day on Friday 8 April as part of World Autism Awareness Week 2016 : “Raising awareness about autism and making a difference to the lives of autistic people”. Cath Tajima-Powell writes.
We welcome people with autism and their families to come and find out more about our resource centre. Also we will be linking to local autism-related services and support providers. Stalls will include hand-made pottery, jams and chutneys, cards and crafts. Drop-in furniture upcycling activity running all day. Great raffle prizes. Free taster sessions in pottery, graphics, jewellery and breadmaking.
