Hastings Folk Fest to follow Jack in the Green
Calling all folk fans! The 3rd Hastings Folk Fest is starting the day after the Jack In The Green parade on the May Bank Holiday Monday. Paul Dengate writes.
As well as major concerts with Show Of Hands and Peter Knight’s Gigspanner (with very special guests Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin), there’ll be a wide range of ‘folkie’ events, including a concert by the United Folk Orchestra in St Clements Church, music and song sessions, pub gigs, a film at Electric Palace Cinema and a café tour by Glashin and Rattlebag.
There are events taking place from Tuesday 3 May to Sunday 8 May. In the next week or so, printed programmes will be available from venues around Hastings Old Town. In the meantime, for details of all performers and venues, please check out the Hastings Folk Fest 2016 website or see the Facebook page for any changes.
