6,000-mile walker calls in at Hastings RNLI
Early this month Alexander Ellis-Roswell set out from Canterbury on a 6,000-mile walk around the coast of Britain to raise funds for the RNLI Lifeboats. After passing through Hastings last week he sent HOT the following message. The only setback, it seems, was that he left his hat and some sunflower seeds in a pub here.
“I’d just like to say a big thank you to everyone I met who helped and supported me at the end of last week when I walked through Hastings and St Leonards as part of my two-year walk around the coast of Britain in aid of RNLI Lifeboats. Special thanks to the businesses who let me fill up my bottle of water and to the many locals who gave me words of support, encouragement and donations.
All those who I met at the Royal Standard, staff and locals, showed me incredible hospitality- thank you! And thank you to Despo at Plato’s cafe who served me the best chips I’ve ever had.
If anyone is interested in following my progress, you can find me on Facebook (search my name) or on Twitter and Instagram at @ELLISROSWELL.”
