The lady doth protest…
Inspired and simultaneously outraged and depressed by the irony of our government and the other decision-makers building roads and infrastructure at a time of apparent – if we are to believe the world’s climate change scientists – environmental crisis and threat to humanity’s survival, HOT’s Zelly Restorick has produced some cartoons as an alternative to words.

Brilliant Zelly, you have captured in such a powerful way exactly how I feel about the eradication of our democracy, our planet and our money.

Fantastic work; such a wide range of designs too. I’d love to see some of them as large posters too.Well Done, Zelly

A very clear and unique depiction of the major issues, and the shaky case for the BHLR. A shameful chapter in the history of East Sussex. Well done Zelly for capturing the stupidity of the whole BHLR mindset.

Thank you so much, Zelly – these cartoons are wonderful – powerful, funny, entertaining, cogent. We need big poster spaces all over Hastings to display these. I have read through them with delight and will read them again – your images so much more powerful than words.

Great! It’s lovely to see so much of your artwork up here. It deserves its own exhibition in Coastal Currents!
