Menopause and Brain Health event
Menopause and Brain Health
Brighton & Sussex Medical School and Women’s Voice are inviting local women to attend a creative learning event at Central Hall on Wednesday 1 October. Erica Smith encourages perimenopausal and menopausal women to attend this event.
The ‘Don’t Fret the Fog’ event aims to give attendees insight into current research investigating the links between healthy brain ageing and the menopause. Researchers hope to hear the voices of seldom heard women in our coastal community, to help make sure future research meets their needs.
Menopause-friendly food will be provided by local nutritionist Rae Edwards, from Sunshine and Wellness. Capacity is limited, so registration essential.
Pay what you can to attend
To ensure cost isn’t a barrier, tickets are available for free but we are encouraging attendees to consider “Paying What You Can”. All proceeds will go back to Women’s Voice to support future events in Hastings.
There is also a £15 payable option which includes a copy of Rae’s Nutrition Guide for the Menopause, with a proportion from each sale going to Women’s Voice. Subject to availability, Rae will have copies for sale on the night as well.
This 80-page A4 guide is your ultimate resource to navigate the peri-menopause transition, offering nutritional guidance and delicious recipes from a Registered Nutritionist foodie, tailored exercise plans from a level 3 Fitness Instructor, and invaluable sleep and stress-busting tips. Designed with your well-being in mind, it provides practical advice to help you thrive during this significant life stage. Empower yourself with expert insights and embrace a healthier, more balanced life today.
