40 years of shooting famous faces – illustrated talks at Barnaby’s Lounge, Hastings.

From the day in 1981 when I invited the most famous names of the day to my bedroom to be photographed, and for the next four decades, these fully illustrated talks will take you behind the scenes of my extraordinary encounters with a cast list that includes:

Glenda Jackson, Henry Moore, John Cleese, Anthony Hopkins, George Melly, Jane Goodall, Princess Diana, Olivia Colman, Harold Wilson, David Bellamy, Peter Gabriel, Evelyn Glennie, Joanna Lumley, Tony Benn, Les Dawson, Tina Turner, Richard Briers, Germaine Greer, Marie Helvin, Andy Warhol, Spike Milligan, Mary Whitehouse, Julie Walters, Christopher Lee, Enoch Powell, Julie Christie, Darcey Bussell and many more.

Each talk covers a different theme and lasts around 90 minutes.

Dates and titles are as follows (all are on Thursday evenings):

Sept 12^th: ‘IN THE BEGINNING’ – Where it all began and the first dozen encounters.

Sept 26^th: ‘FUNNY HAHA, FUNNY PECULIAR’ – My adventures with the greatest names in humour.

Oct 10^th: ‘ARTISTS AND MUSICIANS’ – Come and enjoy the stories of my meetings with a diverse and eccentric mix of the greatest creative minds of the day.

Oct 24^th: ‘WOMEN IN FOCUS’ – Fabulous encounters with great females who broke barriers in a wide variety of fields.

Nov 7^th: ‘FOUR DECADES OF FUN’ – The journey of a camera through forty years of unbelievable encounters.

Venue: Barnaby’s Lounge, 46 Robertson St, Hastings TN34 1HL

Time: Talks begin at 7pm, lasting 90mins with a drinks break. Doors open from 6pm, with drinks / tapas / sharing boards available.

Cost: £12 per person per talk, payable in cash or card at the event.
