Hastings Literary Festival unveils 2019 programme

Hastings Literary Festival has announced its programme for 2019, featuring George Orwell’s adopted son Richard Blair, musician and writer Tracey Thorn, TV presenters Alice Roberts and Lucy Cooke, and many local authors among a wide array of literary talent. PSC marks anniversary of the Great March of Return in Gaza

Grace Lau is a well known, highly respected figure around the Old Town, but appreciation spreads further afield when it comes to the photography fraternity. Moving to Hastings, Grace, as a professional photographer and tutor, has been integral to forming a rich photography community in the town. HOT’s Lauris Morgan-Griffiths talked to her about how she came to be here and her new book, Portraits in a Chinese Studio, a project conceived, born and bred in Hastings.

A new response to the housing crisis has arisen in the shape of HOWCH – Hastings Older Women Co-Housing. Member Sue Warren explains its aims and plans ahead of its next public meeting on Friday 26 April.
