Hastings Sustainable Transport Forum meeting

Many citizens in the town are interested in sustainable transport ideas for this area, especially as a location where we have fewer than average car drivers. Hastings Sustainable Transport Forum have organised a meeting to discuss planning issues. All welcome. Please come along and listen and participate. Every person makes a difference.

Meeting of Hastings Sustainable Transport Forum

Wednesday 5 September 2018 at 7PM at the Isabel Blackman Centre, Winding Street entrance (off The Bourne), Hastings Old Town.

The theme of this meeting will be Planning for Sustainable Transport in Hastings. This will cover strategic planning and responsive planning in respect of development applications.

  • Part one will be a presentation from Hastings Borough Council on the Hastings Town Centre & Bohemia Area Action Plan (www.hastings.gov.uk/aapconsultation)

– to allow for consultation input on how this could improve sustainable transport and active travel infrastructure.

  • Part two will be an initial discussion about how to influence and improve the way that new planning applications are dealt with

– to take account of sustainable transport and particularly walking & cycling routes and to consider policies that may be needed.
