Ben Browton

Meet: Ben Browton

Spotted in: Hastings town centre

Ben Browton describes his style:

I describe myself as an artist, empyre builder and polygrot. My style is middle class poverty chic. Today I am wearing my workday clothes.

My style is influenced by my long interest in cultural life. I was in a punk band called The Shapes and I am currently working on some art work for the re-release of our singles.

As well as my interest in music I am currently working on the Trash Cannes festival.

I buy my clothes from charity shops and I choose things that are punk or glam.

I like to dress up and my favourite place to go out in Hastings was Franks Front room, (sadly now closed) although I do like to spend time in my kitchen or my bed.

My favourite items of clothing are hats and shoes. Hats protect you from all weathers and I think it is important to be well shod. I like to keep my feet firmly on the ground.
