Heritage protest over Tower Road development

Residents in the Tower Road area have formed a protest group to contest an application by local charity Magdalen & Lasher to build a block of flats in the road, arguing that it will mean the demolition of Victorian workshops which are likely to have been known to Robert Tressell. Nick Terdre reports.

Ebb & Flow – the textiles show at Hastings Arts Forum

The textiles show at Hastings Arts Forum is now in its third year – and what a symphony of sumptuousness it has become! This year’s theme, Ebb & Flow, invited responses which were not limited to the sea but pondered its wider significance. Twenty one artists rose to the challenge. HOT reporter Cathy Simpson was charmed, delighted and moved by the resulting show.

Making space and light: Ian Francis at Gill Gallery
