HOW DEGRADING

How degrading!

Every year, I post this poster from The Green Blue, telling us how long it takes our rubbish to bio-degrade, writes HOT’s Zelly Restorick. A friend and I put them up along the coast – on noticeboards, in cafes, in shops, wherever water is near. Anyone we speak to is always shocked at how long things take to decompose.

How degrading!

Meandering along the beach the other day, HOT’s Zelly Restorick, came across an interesting poster from the British Marine Foundation and the Royal Yachting Association. Headed ‘How degrading!’, it shows how many years some common items of rubbish take to bio-degrade in the water.
