The Red Geraniums

An exciting new group The Red Geraniums is due to hold its launch gig at the Stag Inn on Saturday 16 January at 9pm. Sean O’Shea talks with band members Angie Phillip (AP), Paul Way-Rider (PW), John Revell (JR), Liz Porter (LP) and Rob Porter (RP) about the genesis of the group, their style of music and hopes for the future.

Hastings Sinfonia for your pleasure

The Hastings Sinfonia present a concert of ‘Midsummer  Melodies’ for your enjoyment, writes Chris Cormack. The orchestra consists of local talented amateur and professional musicians, who meet twice a month throughout the year. The conductor is Derek Carden, who travels from London especially to conduct the Hastings Sinfonia, and the leader is professional violinist and teacher Peter Fields, who has played in many of the great English orchestras.
