Volunteers wanted for Hastings Tapestry exhibition in Rye

The Hastings Tapestry is going on view at Bridge Point, a new arts centre in Rye, and volunteers are wanted to supervise visitors. Nick Terdre passes on the call.

St Mary in the Castle announce artist in residence

The team at St Mary in the Castle is delighted that Rebecca Ainscough MA is their first Artist in Residence. The exhibition ‘Rhythm, Ritual, Rite of Passage’ will be on show in the Crypt Gallery from 17 May until 18 August.

Jerwood to relaunch in July as Hastings Contemporary

Seven years after opening on the historic Stade on the seafront in Hastings, the director and trustees of Jerwood Gallery today announce that on 6 July the gallery will relaunch as Hastings Contemporary – a new, independent, modern and contemporary art gallery backed by a philanthropic donation of £250,000. The gallery reports.

All change at Jerwood Gallery?

Rachel Glittenberg new work preview

Seaview Christmas events

The Seaview Project is the only organisation of its kind locally, supporting people on the margins of society in Hastings and St Leonards and the wider area. With Christmas coming, they have two events coming up: a carol concert and an afternoon of entertainment. You’re very welcome to attend.

Drawing Life exhibition

An exhibition of selected works by people living with dementia is at the Kino Teatr, Norman Road, St Leonards at 4 – 8 pm on Friday 30 November, and from 11am – 5pm on Saturday 1 December. The organisers would love to see you there.
