Preview corner: What’s HOT in April

So you wanna be on a reality TV cooking show?

The British public’s appetite for both cookery programmes and reality TV shows seems to be insatiable. So it should come as no great surprise that yet another one, combining the two, is heading our way. And the producers want Hastings foodies and amateur chefs to put themselves forward to take part. Toby Sargent reports.

Internationally renowned artists’ work to be auctioned in support of local arts organisation

Alan Rankle has donated a limited edition print to Hastings Arts Forum for their upcoming Art Auction, which features alongside a photograph by the esteemed and widely collected Bruce Rae. These collectable items add to the work generously donated by many other local artists and will come under the hammer at 2pm Saturday 1 April at the Forum’s gallery at 36 Marina St Leonards-on-Sea.

Sasbah’s M&S auction exceeds all expectations

A charity auction of signed memorabilia held in store at M&S Bexhill exceeded all expectations, raising £1,355 for their local Charity of the Year, the Sussex Association for Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus (Sasbah). The charity reports.
