Playland

Playland is a project which was seen in five South East / South coast venues, including Electro Studios Project Space. Two of the public engagement projects were led by Hastings based artists: Sharon Haward & Nicole Zaaroura. Photos were taken by Nigel Green who lives in the borough & teaches at SCCH.

The Doors at The SPACE

Humming into doors.

Standing alone in a derelict space in St Leonards is a small, blue building. Like Doctor Who’s Tardis. It’s made of doors. And who knows what goes on behind closed doors? Intrigued, HOT’s Lauris Morgan-Griffiths took a look, opened and closed the doors and spoke to the developer, Bob Humm.

HOT’s Erica Smith embraced the Photo Hastings festival and reports back…

New art installation at The Space

Following on from the French and English coastal art events, “Horizon” at Sangatte and “I can hear the sea speaking” at Dover, Studio 21 bis have installed an artwork at The Space in St. Leonards on Sea entitled Night Watch. HOT’s Joe Fearn hot-footed it down Kings Road to check it out.
