From one end of Sussex to the other…

Hastings-based artist Laetitia Yhap currently has an exhibition of her drawings and paintings of the Stade fishing community on show. But you will have to traverse Sussex all the way to Chichester’s Pallant House to see them. HOT’s Erica Smith went along for the ride and enjoyed viewing Yhap’s artworks from this new perspective.

The leaseholder of the amusement park facilities on the Stade by the Old Town (from the Stade Hall to the western end of the miniature railway) is proposing to spend large sums of money in improving the whole area and, what is more, is consulting with local people before deciding finally on these plans. Hastings Old Town Residents Association talked to HOT’s Chris Cormack.

Heritage Open Days 2012: a year to remember

Heritage Open Days is a national celebration of history that takes place in September every year. All over the country historic buildings will be throwing open their doors and welcoming the public from Thursday 6 to Sunday 9 September.
