Plans to improve Hastings Castle are to go on display at Hastings Town Hall between 6pm and 7.30pm on Wednesday 4 September, with the architect on hand to talk about his ideas.

Coastal Space? Whatever happened to Local Space?

The council has joined forces with local housing association AmicusHorizon to create a social regeneration project known as Coastal Space. This follows the withdrawal of Newham-based housing association Local Space from its much-heralded £2 million partnership with HBC, which had been designed to achieve very similar goals. Below we briefly relay HBC’s press release about the new link with AmicusHorizon, but keep your eye on HOT for the full story behind the departure of Local Space.

The Streets of St Leonards

The streets of Central St Leonards look set for a number of improvements following developments, consultations and initiatives from diverse stakeholders ranging from the Central St Leonards Town Team to the Neighbourhood Police Team. HOT’s Richard Hull heard all about it when he caught up with HBC’s Terry Drinkwater at the ‘Making Central St Leonards Our Business’ event on Wednesday October 10.

Cycle rickshaws in Portas Pilot bid

Representatives of the business, residential and cultural communities of central St Leonards met on Thursday 22 March to view a draft video developed by local film-maker Glenys Jacques as part of the bid for regeneration funding under the Portas Pilots scheme, writes Richard Hull.
