Shine on, Susan Diamond

For a couple of years, Susan Diamond’s boutique brought a fistful of Chelsea to Kings Road, St Leonards. But nothing stays put for long in the World of Diamond, and lately she’s departed from designing statement pieces for Charles of London’s fashion label in favour of canvas. ‘Slow Art’ at the Forum



Robin Holtom accompanies his exhibition, ‘Slow Art’, with a talk this Saturday 16 August at 2pm, entitled: 

“How to fail better”, where he explains the processes and approaches to this particular batch of work. The paintings have taken months or even years to reach their finishing point, although
 Robin has been painting in oils for sixty years – almost without a break. Nick Weekes asked him a few questions.

From one end of Sussex to the other…

Hastings-based artist Laetitia Yhap currently has an exhibition of her drawings and paintings of the Stade fishing community on show. But you will have to traverse Sussex all the way to Chichester’s Pallant House to see them. HOT’s Erica Smith went along for the ride and enjoyed viewing Yhap’s artworks from this new perspective.
