Fund-raising sale of art

A sale of art will take place on Saturday 18th in aid of Hastings Supports Refugees and the local Labour Party’s Good Ruddance fighting fund. Rachel Lever, one of the moving forces behind the initiative, writes in praise of the sale of art as fund-raiser.

Fat Tuesday: last two days

Following a busy weekend schedule in which the sun shone on the Umbrella Parade, many enjoyed the Preservation Sunday music and beer festival at St Mary in the Castle, not to mention the Off Axis sets played by up-and-coming bands at the Carlisle, while yet others enjoyed the way-out sounds and performances of Sonic Sunday in St Leonards, culminating in something really different at a secret location skilfully disguised beneath a garage, Fat Tuesday moves into its final two days. Andy Wall Whores’ digital Factory…

For one day only on Monday 29 October there will be a digital audio-visual ‘Happening’ at Trinity Gallery in Hastings Town Centre. The ‘Andy Wall Whores’ event intends to create something new out of the spirit and legacy of Andy Warhol as a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Andy Warhol’s classic 32 Campbell’s Soup Cans.
